
Compressive strength test on bricks are meted out to see the load carrying capability of bricks under compression. This test is meted out with the assistance of compression testing machine. Bricks are usually used for construction of load bearing masonry walls, columns and footings. Typically, a cube (or cylinder) of concrete is used as a test specimen, ensuring that the top and bottom surfaces are flat and parallel, and that both faces are a perfect cross-section, ie, at right angles to the vertical axis of the cube. A compressive force is applied to
